The Cyprus NGO Programme of the EEA Grants 2009-2014
announces
Consultation with stakeholders of the civil society

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the EEA Donor States (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and the Republic of Cyprus for the period 2009-2014 establishes an NGO programme in Cyprus. The NGO Programme will finance NGO projects in a number of areas of support classified as Core areas of support and Additional areas of support.

PWC Ltd, as the selected NGO Programme Operator (PO), is launching a stakeholder consultation process with Cypriot civil society organisations with the intent to focus on specific areas relevant to the NGO Sector in Cyprus within the following suggested areas in order to make the NGO Programme effective in addressing the opportunities for dealing with specific issues relevant to the NGOs. It is noted that the PO does not expect that all the areas shall be covered.

The Stakeholder consultation process will include a questionnaire based assessment of NGO opinion in relation to the proposed areas of support as well as a stakeholder meeting to be held on the 3rd of April at the Holiday Inn Nicosia Hotel between 18.00-20.00pm.

NGOs are hereby invited to provide their opinion in relation to the potential areas of support. The answers included in questionnaires received by the PO as well as the conclusions of the Stakeholder meeting to be held on 3rd April 2013 will be taken into consideration by the PO in formulating its final proposal to the Financial Mechanism Office as to the areas on which the Programme should focus as well as on how the NGO Programme will be structured.

Please return this questionnaire by 29/03/2012 to:

Pantelis Demetriou,
NGO Programme Manager
